Event Overview.
Gartner holds almost 80 conferences globally per year with content to serve clients across all business verticals. The largest is Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo held in Orlando, Florida for IT clients in North America, and the second largest is the same symposium held in Barcelona, Spain for those clients in the EMEA region. In 2019 I worked with an industry leading experiential marketing agency to conceptualize, design, produce, and execute all graphics in the customer journey for both conferences. I was responsible for the attendees’ ability to navigate within and between venues with ease to attend their registered sessions, placing themed messaging strategically throughout each campus, and working with internal business units to advise and execute their branding needs.
The Symposium held in Orlando is spread throughout four adjacent Disney properties that are each within walking distance of the other. There were also five large pavilions built onsite to increase capacity and provide additional space to host registration, lounges, meals, and more.
Europe Symposium in Barcelona is held in a convention center and four adjacent hotels within walking distance, plus three additional pavilions built onsite to increase capacity.
Outside of Gartner’s larger Symposium series I managed smaller scale summits for anywhere from 500 to 3,000 attendees. These events were produced by our internal logistics team in conjunction with partner agencies to develop, produce, and manage the installation of all build and branding elements.
